Our main dealerships offer campervan MOT testing.

Just like any other vehicle, campervans require an MOT test 3 years after first being registered, and then annually thereafter.

All CamperKing VW Transporter campervan conversions are re-registered as ‘van with windows’, according to the DVLA classification criteria. As they are still passenger-carrying vehicles, they are still subject to class 4 MOT tests like a car.

In some situations, campervan conversions are classified by the DVLA as a ‘motor caravan’ or multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in the V5C (log book) description section. However, these classifications are also still passenger-carrying vehicles, so also require a class 4 MOT test.

At our main dealerships, we have an MOT testing station that is specially equipped to undertake campervan MOT testing. From this, we can offer MOT testing to all campervan owners.
