Here at Camper King we have our own VW Camper Rentals department with a nice collection of VW campervans..

Our vw camper van rentals can be hired for short breaks or long holidays, please contact us with your exact requirements and we will be delighted to set you up with a vw camper hire experience that will far exceed your expectations.

We have a full list of details and prices below, and all of our terms and conditions, please read through everything and check availability for the dates you require in the calendar.

VW Camper Rentals - rates

    Low season JAN/FEB/MAR/OCT/NOV/DEC
    High season APR/MAY/JUNE/JULY/AUG/SEPT
    Low season daily rate £89
    High season daily rate £99

VW Camper hire starts from 9.00 am onwards on a daily (24hr) basis, late returns are charged at full daily rate (All prices are subject to VAT at the set rate when booking is placed).

Other charges and details

Security deposit £500 which is held subject to the campervan being in good order upon its return
European travel surcharge £150 (contact us for overseas trip details). Some other charges can be applicable, please see full terms and conditions for details

Whats included:

2. Comprehensive insurance for one driver (subject to terms)

4. Full gas bottle hooked up ready to go
5. Mains hook up power cable
6. Full tank of fuel
7. Unlimited UK mileage
8. Free secured parking for your car while your away, (owner assumes all risks)
9. Train station or airport pick up (Birmingham airport, Stratford upon Avon, Warwick or Leamington train stations only)

What you will need:

1. Bedding for the relevant people, sheets, duvets, sleeping bags , pillows etc
2. Basic food items, tea coffee etc
3. Picnic plates and cutlery items
4. Driving license copy
5. Passport copy

Additonal items for vw camper hire (one off charges per booking):

1. Sat nav £20 (Tom Tom)
2. Pet charge £20 (call us to discuss please, no elephants!)
3. Drive away awning, £20 (can sleep 2 additional persons, not inc bedding etc)
4. Bike rack £20 (suitable for 2 bikes)

Questions that we normally get asked about VW Camper Hire...

1. Where do I collect the campervan? From our VW Camper Rentals office based in Stratford upon Avon (shown on our map page on how to find us).
2. Can I come and see a camper van before I decide to book? No problem just give us a call and come and see us, we will show you round.
3. How old must I be to rent or drive a camper? You must be 25 years old prior to collecting the vehicle or driving it.
4. Can more than one person drive the camper? That’s fine but must be arranged in advance and some surcharges apply.
5. Is there a mileage limit? No get away and enjoy your trip without restrictions.
6. Can we go overseas? Yes but it needs to be booked in advance and charges apply
7. What if we have a problem with the van? We have breakdown cover in place and you will have our number to call 24hrs a day if you need help. An information pack is in each vehicle in the glovebox.
8. Can I bring my pet? Pets are welcome within reason, please call to discuss for example nice doggys okay, pet pythons maybe not! Charges apply for pets
9. How do I pay? A deposit of 50% payable to secure the booking initially then the balance upon collection along with the security deposit, Most major cards, cash and cheques are accepted.
10. Can I bring an appliance like a hair dryer or portable DVD player? Yes you have 240volt power when connected to the mains supply at campsites that offer the facility.
11. How many people can sleep in the campervan? The camper sleeps four adults on its own and you can rent an awning for another two if you have additional camping equipment for them.
12. Is there any heating to keep us warm? Yes all the campers have central heating controlled by thermostat, it runs from the gas system and will keep you warm.

We understand that buying a used campervan especially a used Volkswagen camper van is a nostalgic and exciting experience, so why not use our try before you buy option and rent a camper for the weekend first.

Travelling in a camper van allows you to create your own kind of holiday. There's no need for set itineraries or timetables simply go where you want when you want.

Most of our “try out” customers collect the camper on Friday, and off they go, to explore the uk’s best motorhome destinations, Park up and try your Volkswagen camper overnight and have a leisurely drive back the following day.

Not only will it be a memorable trip, but if you go ahead and buy one of the campers we have for sale within four weeks of your rental we will refund your try out in full.
